The Graying of the World

Recently, The whole world is aging, the trend has cause different effects in developed countries and developing countries. Moreover,  the problem of the global aging has increased year by year in most of the countries. At the same time, Global aging will challenge the world's economic well-being , the world population growth and the fertility rates.

Firstly, around the world, fertility rates experience dramatic decline.At this point,  there are three causes support this situation. the first cause is that the population moves to urban areas. Besides, children offer litter or no economic reward to parents. And the last one is that women gain in economic opportunity and  reproductive control in the world.

Secondly, the appearance of the "Middle aging"  causes the global aging as well. The reason for middle aging is more resources for infrastructure and industrial development. At the same time, the middle aging eases the region's overall dependency ratio. And increasingly people concerned with the healthcare and  retirement savings.

Last but not least, the global aging also brings a "demographic dividend". There are two reasons for the appearance of the demographic dividend. First of all, there are fewer children to feed, clothe and educate. So, people can leave more for adults to enjoy. Meanwhile, there are few productive workers as well. The second one is that more and more dependent elderly in the world, especially in China, Demographer Xiaochun Qiao calls a "4-2-1" society, in which one child must support two parents and four grandparents.

In conclusion,  in the longer run, the global aging will cause the population decline around the world. It will an inevitable tendency in many countries. By 2200, the world population will shrink to half of what it is today.

Compare and Contrast Essay

                                             The Baby Boomers and Generation Years

There are some differences and similarities between the baby boomers and generation years. In terms of the similarity, both the core values and the message that motivative are the same between those who born from 1943 to 1960 and generation nexters. By contract, there are two differences , education and interaction style, between the two generations.

When its comes to the similarity, Both generations are the same core value. On one hand, The baby boomers and the generation nesters are optimistic, extreme fun  and confident in their whole life. The major reason for performing these characteristics is that these two generations raise in current high-tech , neo-optimistic time.Besides, "They are optimistic and confident that they can get things done, and they are used to getting their way." On the other hand, the two generation get the motivate messages that must be specific. For instance, the baby boomer prefer to get the praise , like "You are valued." and "You are needed." Likely, the millinials also like "Your experience is respected." when they get a good performance in their life or work. As can be seen , the core value and the message that motivative are similarities between these generations.

However, there are two differences between the baby boomers and generation years as well. One is the education. The baby boomers can acquire the knowledge and education as the birthright in their whole life. But, for  the millinials, "Their parents have sacrificed to provide them with the best educational and recreational experiences." Another one is the interactive style. The baby boomers would like to work in terms with people. For example, "They engage in community projects and international causes." However, the generation nexter prefer to use the formal style to communication. "They are comfortable on the Internet and used to instant connections." So, the education and the interaction style are the differences between the baby boomers and the generation nexters.

In conclusion, the baby boomers and the generation nexters are similar in the core value and the message that motivative. Moreover, there are differences in generation and the interaction style.
